Statement from Transportation Sec. Rahn on Baltimore Bus Crash

The entire Maryland Department of Transportation family and MDOT’s Maryland Transit Administration send our condolences to all the people impacted by this morning’s bus crash.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones and those Marylanders helping family members recover from their injuries.  Seeing first hand this morning the hard work of so many jurisdictions working together, I want to thank the entire team of professionals:  all the first responders, the medical specialists, and Baltimore City Police for leading the full investigation. I also want to thank the men and women of the MTA that make safety a top priority every day as they deliver transportation throughout the Baltimore-Washington region to thousands of Marylanders that depend on MTA to get where they need to go.
