Tom Nolan, chairman of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s Board of Directors, released the following statement on regarding today’s (June 9) fatal collision involving a paratransit vehicle at the intersection of Geary Boulevard and Franklin Street:
“We extend our deepest condolences and offer any support to the family and friends of the person killed in today’s collision with our contracted paratransit provider. The SFMTA will continue to work with the paratransit provider involved to ensure that SFPD has the information they need to conduct a full investigation into this matter. While we have limited details at this time, we remain fully committed to pedestrian safety and our Vision Zero goal to eliminate traffic fatalities.”
