DART will open the Blue Line Extension in late October, adding two stations and nearly three miles of rail between Ledbetter Station and UNT Dallas Station near the University of North Texas at Dallas.
A successful live wire test was conducted, which ensures electrical systems work. Officials rode the test train from Ledbetter Station to UNT Dallas Station. Invitees included federal, state and local elected officials; city of Dallas staff; contractors; DART Board members; UNT Dallas staff and community stakeholders.
