The Mass Transit Weekly Update: 3/25/16

Sound Transit's University Link project opened March 19, six months ahead of schedule and about $200 million under its $1.9 billion budget.

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) created this poignant video to re-launch its campaign, "If you see something, say something."

On March 19 Valley Metro's Northwest Extension opened to more than 2,100 riders who rode the new service in north Phoenix. "We are 19th Ave" shows the communities experience during construction and what the line means to their future.

TriMet hosted another session of its popular “Transit on Tap,” casual discussions about transit developments that are hosted in a different pub each month.

Go Transit created an animated video titled “What Gives?” to show riders what goes on when there is a delay.

MTA launched WTTZ-93.5 FM to provide updates on transit in the area, and will be played aboard its transit systems. It's been dubbed “The Maryland Transportation Channel."
