The $42-per-month Hive Pass covers unlimited transportation on UTA TRAX, buses and the S-Line. Now, every person who signs up for the Hive Pass is eligible to receive a year-long GREENbike membership. Current Hive pass riders can request a special GREENbike RFID sticker to adhere to their pass.

UTA Interim Executive Director Steve Meyer said the program will help riders navigate sections of their commutes that a bus or TRAX can’t cover.

“This innovative partnership will increase the community’s transportation options by improving the first and last-mile options facing those who are considering using public transit.”

The partnership also simplifies car-free transportation, allowing pass-holders to use one card to access multiple modes of transportation.

“For $42 per month, Salt Lake City residents now have access to everything they need to get around our city – buses, TRAX, and of course – GREENbike. There isn’t a better deal in town,” said Salt Lake City Major Jackie Biskupski.

GREENbike Founder and Executive Director Ben Bolte said a combination of public transit and bike sharing programs will help encourage people to adopt healthy, eco-friendly and less expensive forms of transportation.

“Community partnerships like these are absolutely necessary if we’re going to change behavior,” Bolte said.
