Phoenix 50th Street Station Design Milestone

Valley Metro and city of Phoenix have invited the public to attend an update on the design of the 50th Street light rail station.

Valley Metro and city of Phoenix have invited the public to attend an update on the design of the 50th Street light rail station. The 60 percent design presentation will include renderings of the station, an update on how the station will be integrated into the roadway and illustrations of station art elements.

Construction of the first new station along the existing Valley Metro Rail system will serve the communities and future development near 50th Street and Washington. The station will provide access to the Ability360 facility and the neighboring business community, as well as support transit-oriented development planned for the area. Ability360 offers and promotes programs designed to empower people with disabilities to take personal responsibility so that they may achieve or continue independent lifestyles within the community.
