Valley Metro and city of Mesa has invited the public to attend an update on construction activity and final design of the light rail extension to Gilbert Road in Mesa.

Valley Metro and city of Mesa has invited the public to attend an update on construction activity and final design of the light rail extension to Gilbert Road in Mesa.

The Gilbert Road Extension is a 1.9-mile extension of Valley Metro Rail that will continue along Main Street from Mesa Drive to Gilbert Road. It will include two stations, a transit center and a park-and-ride. The Final Design presentation will include an update on how vehicles, pedestrians and light rail trains will move together along the extension and the latest station art designs. Public art will be incorporated into each station and the park-and-ride.
