With a streetcar station immediately in front of its Over the Rhine location, Rhinegeist has made a two-year commitment to buy advertising on all five Cincinnati Streetcar vehicles.
This contract puts the total vehicle advertising sales for the streetcar over $300,000 so far.
Advertising Vehicles Inc. has the contract with the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority to sell advertising and naming rights on Cincinnati Streetcar vehicles and at the streetcar stations. Revenue from streetcar advertising and naming rights will be used to help fund streetcar operations.
"The streetcar adds momentum to our thriving Over-the-Rhine neighborhood and ties OTR to The Banks, making traversing downtown all the more fluid," said Rhinegeist Co-Founder Bryant Goulding. "With the incredible amount of activities, concerts, events going on and all of the businesses, bars and restaurants popping up across the city, the streetcar serves as amazing connector for a thriving and abundantly positive culture. The streetcar turns Cincinnati into one of the most pedestrian friendly urban neighborhoods in the country and we are very happy to support this new asset for our city."
"Building on the great tradition of brewing in Cincinnati, the resurgence of OTR has a lot to do with the growth and popularity of Rhinegeist Brewery," said L. V. Semona, co-founder & director of sales for advertising vehicles. "It is a perfect fit for the continued growth of the streetcar and OTR that we partner these great brands together for the greater good of the community."
It was recently announced that Richter & Phillips Jewelers, Four Entertainment Group, Taste of Belgium, and Kerry Toyota had purchased advertising on the streetcars, and several other advertising contracts are being finalized.
