Rock Island riders should take note that beginning Feb. 1, Metra will be making slight adjustments to the schedules of five of the line’s outbound evening trains.
The schedule changes are being made to reflect current operating conditions and ridership patterns and do not affect departure times from LaSalle Street station.
Here is a brief summary of the changes:
Train 413 (4:57 p.m. departure) shaves two minutes off its travel time, making the express run to Tinley Park 80th Ave in 31 minutes. Subsequent times between 80th Avenue and Joliet have also been adjusted.
Train 303 (5:00 p.m. departure) will no longer stop at Gresham and will arrive 1 minute earlier at the 95th/Longwood and 103rd/Washington Heights stations. Train 613, the 5:05 departure, will continue to serve Gresham customers.
Train 613 (5:05 p.m. departure) will make an additional stop at the 35thStreet/Lou Jones station, which will add a minute to arrival times at subsequent stops.
Train 415 (5:15 p.m. departure) adds one minute to its run at Midlothian and subsequent stops.
Train 417 (5:25 p.m. departure) adjusts arrival times at intermediate stops and arrives in Joliet one minute later.
“Schedule changes are always fluid, and once implemented, we will make adjustments if necessary to better reflect actual running times, so that we provide our customers the most accurate schedule information possible,” said Metra Executive Director/CEO Don Orseno.
