Rhone Named DART’s VP of Capital Design & Construction

Transit veteran John Rhone is the new vice president of capital design and construction at Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART)

Rhone’s responsibilities will include oversight of staff engaged in design, construction, and utility coordination of DART’s major capital projects.

He has served as assistant vice president of ways, structures and amenities at DART since 2012 and has held various positions at the agency since 1993 including senior manager of traction electrification systems, construction project manager, technical coordinator and associate rngineer. Rhone also spent one year in St. Louis, Missouri, at the Bi-State Development Agency, as deputy project director/rail systems engineer for engineering and construction from 2001 to 2002.

Rhone earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas.
