The Maryland Department of Transportation’s Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is proud to join transit partners Amtrak and Bombardier Transportation Service (BTS) in support of the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program Dec. 9-10, at Washington Union Station. MARC and Amtrak passengers are encouraged to donate a new, unwrapped toy or monetary donation, which will be collected both days by U.S. Marines, MARC Train, Amtrak and BTS staff at Gates A, B or C at Union Station from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All donations will be distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in local communities. The Toys for Tots Program is the collection and distribution of toys in the communities in which a Marine Corps Reserve Unit is located. The goal of the program is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate children. Checks should be made payable to Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation.
