Metra Makes the Holidays Even More Magical

Dec. 3, 2015

Do you have visions of strolling past the Christmas tree at Millennium Park while snow softly falls, or taking in one of Chicago’s internationally renowned holiday shows but the thought of driving downtown and parking keeps you on the sofa? Change it up this year and let Metra be your ride to the magic that is Christmas in Chicago.

From Dec. 21 through Jan. 3, each adult can bring along up to three kids 11 and under for free every day. And if you're traveling on a Saturday or Sunday, adults pay just $8 for a Weekend Pass, good for unlimited travel on all Metra trains all weekend long.

“The holidays are a great time to start new traditions by taking Metra,” said Metra Executive Director/CEO Don Orseno. “Our goal is to be the most convenient and cost-effective option for travel to and from the city and also to some of the great holiday events happening in the suburbs.”
