WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has appointed Michael Unger area manager for Colorado/Wyoming.
In his new position, Unger will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the transportation and infrastructure group in the firm’s Denver and Colorado Springs offices. Some of the firm’s recent projects in the region include design work on the RTD Southeast Corridor Extension, Denver International Airport program management and support services, Peoria Crossing in Denver, and the Las Vegas Road corridor study in Colorado Springs.
Unger has more than 25 years of engineering experience serving public and private clients throughout Colorado. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he managed the Colorado operations of a national consulting engineering firm. He previously served as western regional manager for an international firm, responsible for the infrastructure business unit in the western U.S. and project manager for a significant infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi.
Unger received a B.S. in architectural engineering from the University of Colorado. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and is active in the American Council of Engineering Companies.
