At the upcoming 2015 APTA Annual Meeting, IVU Traffic Technologies will present its leading software solutions for public transportation companies, IVU.suite and IVU.rail. By ensuring efficient resource deployment, these integrated tools help both transit operators and rail companies realize cost-effective and reliable operations. The conference takes place Oct. 4–7, 2015 in San Francisco. IVU will be showcasing its systems at Booth 406.
The IVU.suite supports the full range of scheduling and operations activities of transit agencies in one integrated system. From scheduling, dispatching and fleet management to ticketing, passenger information and controlling: IVU’s standard software offers optimal processes to efficiently manage any number of vehicles and personnel. Featuring industry-specific and mode-specific optimization algorithms, the IVU.suite works to significantly improve the cost-efficiency of transport operations. In San Francisco, together with its partner Scheidt & Bachmann Fare Collection Systems, IVU will be presenting its complete IVU.suite product line-up.
Additionally, visitors will be able to see IVU.rail, which was specifically designed to meet the scheduling and dispatching needs of rail operators. The software enables a high degree of process automation and includes terminal/yard management functionality and covers all phases including long-term resource scheduling, real-time resource dispatching and monitoring, aftercare, and reporting.
In total, over 500 public transportation companies worldwide rely on IVU products including transit providers in major metropolitan regions such as London, Auckland, Lima, Berlin, Budapest and Kuala Lumpur as well as national rail companies such as DB (German Railways), SBB (Swiss Railways) and VIA Rail Canada Inc.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to demonstrate the capability of our systems to U.S. transit agencies and rail operators in San Francisco,” said Robert Mulder, president at IVU Traffic Technologies Inc. “With representatives from across the transportation industry attending the APTA Annual Meeting, the conference provides an excellent opportunity for us to further our relationships with major transportation companies in North America.” Only recently, IVU opened a new office in San Francisco, CA, headed by transportation expert Lawrence Rosenshein to strengthen the firm’s presence in the Western U.S. and Canada. This new office comes in addition to established North American offices in Chicago and Montreal.
