Thomas Barbelet has joined Keolis as brand and communications manager. He was most recently director of marketing and communications for Vinci Concessions from September 2009, where he steered the brand strategy for the group’s concession businesses: Vinci Park, Vinci Airports, Vinci Stadium, Vinci Highways and Vinci Railways. In this position, he designed specific marketing and communication guidelines for the development of transport infrastructure including an innovative policy aimed at delivering an improved user experience: stakeholders management strategy, optimised passenger journey, rollout of Wi-Fi solutions in airports and stadiums, and the creation of new services and digital apps.
These guidelines were in particular implemented to provide support for the operations teams working on projects such as the Rhônexpress tram in Lyon (France), the PR1BINA Highway in Slovakia, the construction of the Tours-Bordeaux SEA HSL (France), the public-private partnership with GSM-Rail (France), the public-private partnership for the Ohio River Bridges East End Crossing (United States), and the Moscow–Saint Petersburg Motorway (Russia), as well as stadiums in France: MMArena in Le Mans, Allianz Riviera in Nice and Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux.
He began his career as a financial and corporate communication consultant in 1993 before joining Questel (intellectual property business intelligence services) in 1996, first in London (UK), then in Paris (France) and Washington DC (United States), as Manager Marketing and Communications. From 2000 to 2008, he worked for PagesJaunes Groupe (since rebranded Solocal Group), during which time he assisted with the group’s switch to the Internet and digital services as Deputy Communications Director.
