Incident During Charlotte Blue Line Construction

On July 29, an incident occurred involving a citizen and construction work being done on Clark Boulevard for the Blue Line Extension Project.  The work had been performed by Badger Daylighting Ltd., a subcontractor of Lane Construction Corp.  The subcontractor was performing work that included soft digging, or potholing, in preparation for storm drain construction along Clark Boulevard.  CATS is investigating the incident fully, and is working in full cooperation with all authorities. CATS takes all construction safety matters seriously and holds all of its contractors responsible for the safety of the sites on which they are performing construction for any project. 

Lane Construction Corporation is the main contractor of the Blue Line Extension civil B/C segment.
