Bombardier Creates New Group Media Relations Department

June 15, 2015

Rail technology leader Bombardier Transportation has repositioned its corporate communications with a newly established Group Media Relations department. Bombardier Transportation's various media relations work will be coordinated, in close cooperation with 16 country and region representatives, from its corporate headquarters in Berlin. Its objective is to inform national and international media representatives with up-to-date information on all Bombardier Transportation's activities and railway-engineering innovations in accordance with their specific national interests.

Dr. Immo von Fallois, previously director of Public Relations for the Central and Eastern European region, will lead the newly created department as head of Group Media Relations. He will report to Cecile Vion-Lanctuit, vice president of Communications. In regard to operational and strategic media relations, Immo von Fallois will be supported by Janet Olthof, head of International Media Relations, and Andreas Dienemann, head of Media Relations for Germany. Janet Olthof previously held several public relations positions within Bombardier Transportation, in particular in the Western Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Andreas Dienemann joined Bombardier in March 2015, having come from the leading trade fair company Messe Berlin, where he was, among other things, spokesperson for the InnoTrans Transport Technology exhibition. Dienemann's prior journalistic experience also includes an editor position with Central German broadcaster MDR Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk.
