Jason Tell has been named area manager for the Portland, Oregon office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.
In his new position, Tell will be responsible for managing Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Oregon and Southwest Washington operations, assuring the delivery of quality services to clients, forging relationships with teaming partners and representing the company within the larger community.
Tell has more than 20 years of experience working at the local, state and federal level on transportation infrastructure policy, funding, planning and design. He joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2014 as a senior planning manager after a 20-year career with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). Tell served as ODOT Region 1 manager from 2006-2014, responsible for planning, construction and maintenance in a four-county area that includes the city of Portland. During his tenure at ODOT, he held the positions of policy and planning manager, and senior federal affairs advisor. Previously, he served as a legislative aide in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Tell holds a B.A. in history and political science from the University of Idaho. He is a member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar.
