Skender Nezaj has been named a senior principal engineer in the Baltimore office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.
In his new position, Nezaj will manage rail vehicle and systems projects, including an on-call rolling stock engineering assignment for the Maryland Transit Administration.
Nezaj has more than 26 years of experience in the design, integration, manufacture, commissioning, and operations and maintenance of rail transit vehicles, systems, and facilities. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was an operations manager at United Streetcar & Oregon Iron Works, overseeing the engineering and manufacture of rail transit vehicles.
Nezaj received a bachelor of science degree in engineering management and mechanical engineering from the New York Institute of Technology and a bachelor of economics degree from Lehman College. He is a member of the American Welding Association, the Association of American Railroads, and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association.
