June 18, 2012
Two of its leading firms, CSR and CNR, will be in the new Hall 9.

For the first time the two largest Chinese manufacturers of locomotives and rolling stock, CSR and CNR, will be exhibiting at the leading trade fair for transport technology, which takes place from September 18 to 21 in Berlin.

Compared with the previous event, at InnoTrans 2012 the number of Chinese companies has increased by 14 percent. Trade visitors will be able to find CSR and CNR in Hall 9, where the China Academy of Railway Sciences and other exhibitors will also be represented, providing information about the latest innovations from the country’s railway industry.

The China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corp. (CSR) and CNR Corp., the equivalent company in the north of China, meanwhile belong to the group of the world’s leading manufacturers of locomotives and rolling stock. The presence of these two companies will provide an even wider overview of the Railway Technology section of the fair and they are coming to InnoTrans with high expectations:

Yang Xiong-Jing, manager for Global Business Development for CNR: “We are making use of this leading trade fair in order to study the market and we are looking forward to presenting our rail vehicles to the world. High-speed trains, powerful locomotives, metro rolling stock and freight wagons — we are presenting our complete range of vehicles at InnoTrans 2012.”

Bi Yupeng, trade fair manager for CSR: “What the World Cup represents for football fans, that is what InnoTrans means to rail experts. It is unfortunate that CSR has previously only been represented at the fair by subsidiaries, but this year the entire group is exhibiting here. Our display includes vehicles for public transport, which have been specifically designed to meet the needs of different cities.”
