Liebherr-Transportation Systems Supplies 800 Electro-Hydraulic Actuators for V300 Zefiro High-Speed Trains

In December 2011, Liebherr-Transportation Systems has received an order from Bombardier’s bogies center of excellence in Siegen (Germany) for the supply of 800 electro-hydraulic actuators for the active lateral suspension of V300 Zefiro* high-speed trains.

The actuators will enable to further improve the running characteristics of the Flexx* Speed bogies, while reducing wear on wheel and rail. The project comprises in total 50 train sets (16 actuators per train) to be delivered from 2012 to 2017. The first delivery is scheduled for spring 2012.

This order represents for Liebherr-Transportation Systems another important milestone in the successful implementation of active damping systems in the rail sector.
