State Senator Eric Lesser is pushing for regional ballot initiatives to fund infrastructure projects. These so-called R.B.I.s are a tool which enables regions to invest in transportation.
Lesser told 22News an R.B.I. could help support the rail service connecting western Massachusetts to Connecticut and New York City.
The bill has to pass through both houses of the Legislature.
