ON: GTAA and Metrolinx to Study Transit Connections

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) and Metrolinx have announced a plan to work jointly to study potential regional and municipal rail and transit connections to what is now called Toronto Pearson’s Regional Transit and Passenger Centre.

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) and Metrolinx have announced a plan to work jointly to study potential regional and municipal rail and transit connections to what is now called Toronto Pearson’s Regional Transit and Passenger Centre.

The study will include connections for the Kitchener rail corridor, the Eglinton Crosstown West Light Rail Transit, expanded GO Regional Express Rail transit, the proposed provincial high speed rail project and others, said a recent media statement.

As part of the project, Metrolinx will be undertaking an environmental assessment of a plan to separate freight and passenger lines in the northwest Greater Toronto Area.
