BC Transit and Unifor Local 333-BC ratify new three-year collective agreement

The agreement provides for wage increases of a flat rate of $0.25 per hour and percentage increases each year.

BC Transit and Unifor Local 333-BC have ratified a new three-year collective agreement.

The agreement reached is consistent with the BC Government’s Shared Recovery Mandate. The agreement provides for wage increases of a flat rate of $0.25 per hour and a 3.24 percent increase in Year 1, a minimum of 5.5 percent to a maximum of 6.75 percent in Year 2, subject to the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and a minimum of two percent to a maximum of three percent, subject to the COLA MOU in Year 3.

Unifor Local 333-BC represents approximately 680 transit operators and maintenance employees in the Victoria Regional Transit System.

The previous labor agreement expired on March 31, 2022. The terms of the new agreement are from April 1, 2022, through March 31, 2025.
