DART hosts Latinos in Transit 2022 Leadership Summit
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will serve as the summit host and sponsor of the Latinos In Transit 2022 Leadership Summit taking place Sept. 23-24 at the Omni Hotel in Dallas.
The Leadership Summit brings together national, regional and local transportation leaders and industry partners for an intimate two-day conference. The event will feature breakout sessions, a leadership luncheon and a state of good repair technical tour.
City of Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Omar Narvaez will provide the summit's welcome and opening remarks. Veronica Vanterpool, Federal Transit Administration (FTA) deputy administrator, will also be at the event as the luncheon keynote speaker, as well as Nadine Lee, DART president and CEO, and Michele Wong Krause, chair of the DART Board of Directors.
Founded in 2016, Latinos In Transit was created to promote the advancement and development of Latinos and other minorities in transportation. Membership is made of public and private transportation professionals from across the nation who meet regularly to network, share information and celebrate the professional development of all members.
