Transdev has extended its partnership with the city of Burlington, N.C., operating Link Transit.
Transdev will continue to provide operations, maintenance and customer service for the Link Transit system, which includes operating both its fixed route and paratransit services.
“We have worked with the city of Burlington Link Transit for over six years – since the beginning of the transit system – and we are proud of the safe and reliable service we provide every day to the community,” said Bill Spraul, south central regional vice president, Transdev U.S. “We are excited to continue this journey with Link Transit. We look forward to providing our technological and innovative expertise, as we continue to deliver quality, reliable transit service for Burlington and our customers.”
Link Transit, which is fare free, has five routes covering Burlington, Gibsonville, Alamance County Offices and Alamance Community College. It was established in 2016 and has helped more than 500,000 passenger trips since its inception.
“Transdev has been a partner with Link Transit in providing quality service resulting in increased passenger trips” said John Andoh, interim transit manager, Link Transit. “We look forward to continuing to grow Link Transit with Transdev as our partner.”
