The North County Transit District (NCTD) was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2021.

“When you have a team of dedicated individuals who believe in transparency and delivering exceptional work, a notable recognition such as this is greatly appreciated,” said Eun Park-Lynch, chief financial officer, NCTD. “I am proud of the work that was accomplished and hope this award provides reassurance to the public to the diligence provided by NCTD.”

The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report. GFOA says attaining this certificate represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
