Transit Wireless has named Harbinder Singh as director of product development. Singh will lead the Transit Wireless product development team, which creates proprietary solutions for the company’s customers, and works with third party vendors to develop, test and verify integrated solutions. Under his direction, the team will have a particular focus on solutions in the areas of 4G densification requirements and transit applications, while staging for connected city and next generation technologies.
“Harbinder’s extensive product development experience in multiple areas within the wireless industry adds further expertise to Transit Wireless as we develop innovative new solutions for the connected city and maximize the potential of Cellular/IoT technologies,” said Bill Bayne, CEO of Transit Wireless.
Prior to joining Transit Wireless, Singh led the product management team focused on public safety broadband markets at Motorola Solutions. During his career in wireless he launched more than 20 products and services for Motorola and other industry leaders including Ericsson, Cisco, Nokia Networks and Verizon Wireless. Singh has an MS in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
