Jacksonville Transportation Authority Promotes Gregory Hayes to Vice President of Finance

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority has announced that the organization has appointed Gregory B. Hayes as vice president of finance and chief financial officer.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority has announced that the organization has appointed Gregory B. Hayes as vice president of finance and chief financial officer. Hayes has served as the interim vice president and chief financial officer since March 6, 2017.

“We are excited to promote Greg to lead the Finance Division,” said JTA CEO Nathaniel P. Ford, Sr. “He brings with him extensive financial and private sector experience. Greg embodies JTA’s leadership characteristics and will be a great addition to the JTA team.”

Hayes joined the JTA in June 2016 as the senior manager of financial planning and analysis. Hayes came to the JTA from Rayonier where he served as the manager of forecasting and budgeting in financial planning and analysis. Drawing on twenty years of experience in diverse industries, he will lead JTA’s Finance Division, which includes budget, accounting and grant management. Hayes will report to CEO Nathaniel P. Ford, Sr.

Prior to joining Rayonier, Hayes worked at Aramark in the K-12 Education Division as the director of finance. He has also worked at Bombardier Capital, Bank of America and General Electric Capital Corporation. Hayes received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas where he graduated with Academic Honors.
