Holt to Lead Rail Systems Engineering at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff

In his new position, Holt will be responsible for leadership, direction and management of engineering services for railroad and rail transit projects and will support WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff’s related business initiatives across the country.

Keith Holt has been named director of engineering for railroad systems at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Holt will be responsible for leadership, direction and management of engineering services for railroad and rail transit projects and will support WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff’s related business initiatives across the country.

Holt has over 41 years of experience in the design, construction and maintenance of signal and train control systems. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was deputy chief engineer, communications and signals at Amtrak, with overall responsibility for Amtrak’s signal and train control systems, including positive train control, communications systems and computerized dispatching systems. He previously served as president of the transit and rail systems division of a major engineering firm, providing services for track, signals, communications and electric traction projects nationwide.

Holt received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Western Kentucky University. He is active in the Transportation Research Board and is a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the Association of American Railroads.
