Brock LaForty will manage transportation and infrastructure operations for WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff as the area manager for North Carolina and South Carolina.

Brock LaForty will manage transportation and infrastructure operations for WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff as the area manager for North Carolina and South Carolina.

In his new position, LaForty will oversee the operations of the firm’s offices in Charleston, South Carolina as well as Charlotte, Mooresville and Raleigh in North Carolina. Some of the firm’s recent projects in the region include South Carolina State Ports Authority general engineering services, Salem Creek Connector, I-85 Widening in Cabarrus County, Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Southeast Corridor Study, and the Bonner Bridge Replacement.

LaForty has over 19 years of project management experience with an extensive portfolio of in-depth feasibility studies, transportation plans, alternatives analyses, environmental assessments, and environmental impact statements for rail, transit, highway, and bridge projects. He joined WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2012, serving as area manager for the Charlotte, North Carolina office.

LaForty received a B.A. from the State University of New York at Geneseo. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, the Women’s Transportation Seminar, and the American Planning Association.
