Falkowski appointed to Laketran Board of Trustees, Malecek and Crislip reappointed

Brian J. Falkowski has been appointed to Laketran's board of trustees to serve a three-year term and Kevin Malecek and Jeanette Crislip have been reappointed for three-year terms.

The Lake County Commissioners appointed Brian J. Falkowski to Laketran's nine-member board of trustees to serve a three-year term and reappointed Kevin Malecek and Jeannette Crislip to serve three-year terms. Malecek, who is the Laketran's current board president, has served the Laketran board since 2005, while Crislip has served since 2004.Falkowski earned his bachelor's degree at John Carroll University, and is close to finishing his Master's of Business Administration degree at Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

"I'm really looking forward to bringing my financial background to the board," Falkowski said, noting his work experience includes managing the finances for a Cleveland-based law firm.

Falkowski said he is waiting to work with other board members before working on long-term goals, but he said his financial background will be helpful in reaching short-term goals at Laketran.

The Laketran board of trustees are responsible for the general oversight of the Lake County public transportation system, including the annual budget and fare structure. They are appointed by Lake County Commissioner to a three-year term.
