People on the move: NJDOT, Culver City, Alstom, NFI Group, Transdev
The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), the city of Culver City, Calif., Alstom, NFI Group and Transdev have made new appointments to their respective leadership teams.
NJDOT names next commissioner
On March 30, Priya Jain was sworn in as the 21st NJDOT Commissioner. She was nominated for the role by New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill on Jan. 19, 2026, and she has served in an acting capacity since then. She will continue her work overseeing the department that manages the state’s multi-faceted transportation network.
Jain has more than three decades of experience leading major and complex transportation and infrastructure programs. She began her career as a civil and environmental engineer and has worked at the intersection of engineering, policy and program management to support public agencies in advancing complex capital projects.
Most recently, she served as the president of Americas for Mace Consult, where she led strategic growth and operational excellence across the U.S. and the globe. Prior to that, as executive vice president and chief growth officer for Atlas, she drove enterprise-wide growth initiatives and helped position the firm for long-term success. As senior vice president for sales and strategy at Atkins, she spearheaded the firm’s expansion across North America and strengthened partnerships with public agencies. She also held senior leadership roles at CH2M, managing and delivering major transportation and infrastructure programs.
She is a member of the board of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, the Northeast Association of State Transportation Officials and The Eastern Transportation Coalition. Jain holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in physics from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, as well as a master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of New York at Buffalo.
Culver City appoints next chief transportation officer
The city of Culver City has appointed Nick Zornes as its next chief transportation officer. In this role, Zornes will oversee the city’s transportation planning, mobility initiatives, transit coordination and implementation of strategic transportation infrastructure projects that support Culver City’s commitment to a safe, sustainable and multimodal transportation network.
“Nick brings the kind of systems-level thinking and implementation experience that is essential as we continue investing in Culver City’s transportation network,” said Culver City Manager Odis Jones. “His ability to connect planning with delivery will help us advance projects that improve mobility, enhance safety and support how people move through our city every day.”
Zornes will lead Culver City’s ongoing efforts to modernize and enhance its transportation network, working closely with city leadership, regional partners and community stakeholders to advance mobility solutions that support the city’s long-term vision for accessibility, sustainability and economic vitality.
The city notes Zornes brings extensive experience in urban planning, infrastructure development and municipal leadership, with a professional background focused on integrating transportation systems with land use, economic development and community planning. Throughout his career in local government, he has led complex planning and capital initiatives that advance regional mobility, improve local transportation systems and position cities to meet evolving transportation and sustainability goals.
His experience includes the development and coordination of regional transportation initiatives, working collaboratively with regional agencies and neighboring jurisdictions to advance mobility projects that improve connectivity and accessibility. He has also overseen the implementation of transportation demand management programs designed to reduce congestion, encourage alternative transportation modes and support sustainable mobility strategies in growing urban communities.
Alstom names next CEO
Alstom has named Martin Sion as its next CEO. Sion succeeds Henri Poupart-Lafarge, who the firm says has decided not to seek a further term as CEO.

NFI names new president of Motor Coach Industries (MCI)
NFI has selected Rob Marion as the new president of MCI. Marion joined New Flyer in 1994 and, during his three decades with the organization, has assumed advancing responsibilities for facilities engineering, production, manufacturing engineering and part fabrication.
Most recently, he served as vice president of fabrication, where he led operational excellence, quality and continuous improvement and performance for all North American internal part fabrication and sub-assembly operations.
NFI’s former President and CEO, Paul Soubry, had served as interim president of MCI until his retirement in January 2026.
“Today’s announcement represents a natural and strategic time to re-establish MCI as its own dedicated business, allowing New Flyer and MCI to both focus on what they do best,” said NFI President and CEO John Sapp. “MCI has seen significant market recovery, with the launch of new vehicle models, harmonized production lines and an expanded service offering. Rob will champion MCI’s efforts in delivering the highest quality and most reliable coaches in the market and will work closely with the leadership team on a detailed transition. Transdev appoints vice president of finance
Transdev U.S. has appointed Brian Costello as vice president of finance. Costello brings more than two decades of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting operations, controllership and strategic business partnering. His career spans several major consumer and manufacturing organizations, where he has built a reputation for leading high-performing teams, modernizing financial systems and implementing data-driven decision-making.
Most recently, Costello served as senior director of accounting at Mark Anthony Services Inc., where he led a series of financial transformation initiatives that improved forecasting accuracy, enhanced reporting capabilities and strengthened internal controls. His work included modernizing enterprise resource planning systems, partnering with global financial planning and analysis (FP&A) teams and supporting major capital and operational projects through advanced financial modeling and scenario planning.
Before joining Mark Anthony Services, Costello held key finance roles at Diageo, Sears Holdings, Alberto Culver and Motorola. His experience includes overseeing profit and loss management for a $700 million manufacturing facility, guiding capital planning for investment programs exceeding $800 million annually and supporting new product launches through detailed financial analysis.

Costello holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance & Accounting from the Kellstadt School of Business – DePaul University in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
