VIA Metropolitan Transit (VIA) and the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) have made new appointments to their respective leadership teams.
VIA promotes two to leadership team
VIA has promoted Priscilla Ingle to senior vice president of customer care and support and hired former city of San Antonio Public Works Director Razi Hosseini to serve as the agency’s vice president of engineering.
Ingle will continue leading call center operations, complaint resolution, fare support and front-line ambassador programs while advancing customer education, community partnerships and continuous improvement across the customer journey.
“Priscilla has long been a driving force behind VIA’s customer experience,” said VIA President and CEO Jon Gary Herrera. “Her promotion to senior vice president of customer care and support reflects the importance we place in putting the customer voice at the center of every decision.”
During her 38-year tenure at VIA, Ingle has served in leadership roles overseeing marketing, communications, customer experience and sales, among others. She led initiatives to enhance customer engagement, introduce new technologies, and expand community and business partnerships. Her accomplishments include launching the U-Pass Program, revitalizing business-to-business sales efforts and implementing a customer relations social media strategy.
Hosseini will oversee capital project delivery, including all Keep San Antonio Moving projects and final design and construction. Hosseini brings to VIA more than four decades of experience, including more than 33 years of service to the city of San Antonio. His leadership has guided major projects, such as the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center Expansion, Alamodome Renovation & Expansion and the development of Pre-K 4 SA Facilities, among many others.
“We’re proud to welcome Razi Hosseini to the VIA team, especially during a time we are focused on delivering significant and impactful projects for our community,” Herrera said. “His deep expertise and proven leadership will help position VIA to deliver projects that strengthen our region’s mobility and economy.”
Hosseini holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Florida International University and is a licensed professional engineer and a registered professional land surveyor.
COMTO names deputy CEO
COMTO has named Tyra Redus as its next deputy CEO. Redus formally worked as the director of small and disadvantaged business utilization with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and has led initiatives advancing opportunity and access across government, industry and the legal profession.
“We are thrilled to have a professional like Tyra on our team,” said COMTO President and CEO April Rai. “She brings a decades-long record of accomplishment in advancing economic mobility for small businesses. Her expertise and reputation as a fierce champion in this space elevates COMTO’s mission of ensuring transportation and contracting serve all.”
COMTO notes that at the USDOT, Redus shaped national strategies to strengthen participation of small businesses. Under her leadership, USDOT enhanced contracting practices and broadened access to federal procurement during one of the largest infrastructure investments in U.S. history. Prior to her public service, she led a regional team at Skanska USA Building.
“I am excited to be joining the passionate and driven team at the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials,” Redus said. “This transition will be seamless as I have been a volunteer leader and member of this incredible mission-driven organization through its D.C. Chapter since 2016. I am eager to get to work moving the mission forward.”
Redus is currently the Girls, Inc. of Washington D.C., Board chair. She also serves on the Enterprising Women of Color DMV Business Center Advisory Board and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
