Mass Transit opens nominations for 2026 40 Under 40

Nominate a deserving individual for Mass Transit magazine's 40 Under 40.
April 8, 2026

Nominate a deserving individual for Mass Transit magazine's 18th annual 40 Under 40.

This is your annual opportunity to recognize outstanding young individuals making a name in the public transit industry.

Mass Transit will recognize 40 individuals for their contributions and achievements as part of its July/August issue. It is not a ranking, but rather a listing of individuals who have a drive for innovation, demonstrated achievements, strong job commitment and meaningful industry involvement or contribution.

Individuals may nominate themselves or a colleague. If you or your colleague will be 39 years old or younger on July 1, 2026, and you currently primarily live/work in North America, then you are eligible to be nominated for Mass Transit magazine’s 40 Under 40.

Criteria for selection include such things as job commitment, industry involvement and contribution, achievement in his or her position and innovation in his or her field. While no candidate may possess all criteria, we are looking to reward those who deserve recognition for their efforts.

Submit your nomination today

Deadline for submissions is Thursday, April 23 at 11:59pm Central. Honorees will be announced August 18.
