WSP Leads Conversation at Institute of Transportation Engineers Annual Meeting

Aug. 17, 2018

Consultants from WSP USA will deliver presentations that will impact the future of transportation at the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Annual Conference in Minneapolis August 20-23. A sapphire sponsor of the event, WSP remains committed to enhancing the value of ITE to its members and improving mobility and safety for all transportation users.

“The ITE annual conference is a great opportunity to highlight the work we’ve done and continue to do for our clients to meet the transportation challenges of the future,” said Steve Kuciemba, national intelligent transportation systems practice leader at WSP USA. “The ITE attendees are working on projects that have the potential to change all aspects of mobility. Our work on Smart Cities has the possibility to change all aspects of people’s lives – from the way we commute, to how we plan and develop infrastructure for the future. Federal, state and local agencies are increasingly asking whether there are actions that can be taken from a regulatory, legislative or policy viewpoint that would support and/or impact the evolution of connected and automated vehicles.”

Kuciemba will be recognized during the Coordinating Council meeting this year as winner of the ITE Coordinating Council Outstanding Volunteer Special Recognition Award, given to an individual that has “demonstrated significant and sustained volunteer performance in ITE technical activities.”
