Cincinnati Metro is selling two, low-mileage 1999 Chance diesel trolley buses a part of a larger effort to reduce costs and increase revenue.

The vintage-look trolley buses were purchased more than 15 years ago by Cincinnati Metro for use in parades and other community activities. Both trolleys have wood-and-brass interiors and automatic transmissions.  They have been well-maintained and are in excellent condition.  Each trolley has less than 25,000 miles.  Asking price is $40,000 each.

“We’re aggressively finding ways to balance our budget,” said Cincinnati Metro CEO Dwight A. Ferrell.  “Selling the trolleys is just one small thing we’re doing to address budget deficits beginning in 2018. We’re cutting administrative costs, restructuring service, and selling off excess equipment to balance the budget for next year.”
