The Maryland Department of Transportation’s Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is teaming with the Baltimore Orioles at the unofficial start of the baseball season, FanFest, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, at the Baltimore Convention Center. At FanFest, the MTA will unveil its new Orioles bus that commemorates the 25th anniversary of Camden Yards. This bus will go into service next week as a part of the regular MTA Local Bus fleet.
“We are excited to partner with the Baltimore Orioles on this silver anniversary year of Camden Yards to help make the public aware of all of the exciting changes happening at the MTA because of Governor Larry Hogan’s BaltimoreLink plan,” said MTA Administrator and CEO Paul Comfort. “This is not your father’s MTA. We are utilizing new and different methods to engage with the public to provide them as much information as possible about BaltimoreLink, the new, transformative bus service that links customers to life’s opportunities.”
FanFest features appearances and autograph sessions with current and past Orioles players and coaches, clubhouse tours, baseball clinics for children, giveaways and team memorabilia for sale. Tickets for FanFest can be purchased at the Convention Center and at the Oriole Park box office.
