TransIT Offers Free Rides for the First Day of School, August 22nd with Student ID

On Monday, August 22nd, TransIT Services of Frederick County has announced it will offer free rides on Connector and shuttle buses to students with a valid student ID to commemorate the first day of school in Frederick County. Student ID must be presented upon boarding to receive free rides.

TransIT provides fixed-route service to over 300 destinations in Frederick including medical, employment, education, and shopping centers. 95% of businesses in Frederick County are served within 1/4 of a mile of a TransIT Connector or shuttle route. TransIT ezFARE, TransIT’s mobile ticketing app, is available for download on Android or Apple devices. The app provides ticket purchasing as well as trip planning features.
