National Express is adding thousands of extra coach seats to cope with demand over the coming Bank Holiday weekend as engineering work is set to cause disruption for some train travelers.

National Express is adding thousands of extra coach seats to cope with demand over the coming Bank Holiday weekend as engineering work is set to cause disruption for some train travelers.

National Express is adding 8,000 extra seats this Bank Holiday (Friday April 29 – Monday May 2) – offering passengers an unrivaled UK-wide network of coach services to choose from – as year-on-year bookings for the weekend grow 10 per cent.

Meanwhile, rail engineering work will mean limited train services, extended journey times and replacement buses for some train travellers over the weekend.

Among the rail operators affected are West Coast Mainline, First Great Western, Transpennine and Gatwick Express, with people advised to check for changes before they travel.

Meanwhile National Express has already taken thousands of coach bookings on the network as a whole with Friday, April 29, the most popular day to travel.
