The Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) is celebrating the careers of distinguished drivers Charles Frasier, Roger Pinckney and lead supervisor Harry Burnell. With more than century of devotion to public transit combined, each employee has helped thousands of commuters get to work on time with award-winning records for customer service.

"Charles, Harry and Roger’s careers mirror many of our employees who love what they do," shares CARTA Chairman, Mike Seekings "With traffic as one of Charleston's hot-button issues, their jobs are more important than ever and we’re delighted to have them as role models for the public transit system."

Charles Frasier

Frasier has 3.5 million miles under his belt, enough to circle the globe more than 140 times. He's devoted 42 years as a CARTA's longest tenured driver and says he's just getting started.

Harry Burnell

In February, Burnell celebrated his 46th anniversary as a driver and Lead Supervisor. He currently manages 108 eight drivers with TransDev, CARTA’s operations partner and is the longest tenured employee.

Roger Pinckney

As a 35-year employee, Pinckney was recently honored as the Driver of the Year by the S.C. Department of Transportation. In addition to an outstanding customer service reputation, he has driven 2 million miles without an avoidable accident.
