The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) announced that it will host two open house meetings and a webinar later this month to discuss its upcoming two-year budget.

The webinar and open houses are opportunities for the public to learn about the SFMTA’s budget outlook and proposals for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 (FY17-18) and to discuss concerns and questions with SFMTA staff.

The SFMTA’s budget for FY1718, which would go into effect July 1, must be adopted by the SFMTA Board of Directors by the end of April. The Board will review the proposed budget at three public hearings through April, and is expected to vote on a budget action at its third meeting on April 19.

Those who cannot attend one of the meetings can e-mail comments on the budget to [email protected]. Twitter users can also comment via tweet by mentioning the SFMTA’s Twitter handle, @sfmta_muni, and the hashtag #SFMTAbudget.

The public can also sign up for e-mail updates about the budget meetings or general SFMTA updates from the Moving SF blog.
