A Kent coach company is aiming to keep its customers sweet as it celebrates the launch of new services by handing out free fruit.
Gillingham-based The Kings Ferry is today (Friday February 26) launching a new express service and doubling an existing service to provide customers with improved connections to the capital, and to celebrate the move the company is handing out complimentary fruit to all passengers.
The additional 727 and 774 services will provide commuters with more direct and increased connections to the capital to make the daily journey more convenient and affordable than ever before.
To make life easier for commuters travelling to the West and City of London, the new 727 City Express service will bypass the often congested Blackwall Tunnel and Canary Wharf, and will instead take a more direct route straight to The Tower of London and London Bridge.
Meanwhile an additional 774 service will give passengers from Maidstone more options for getting into Canary Wharf and stops beyond in the City of London.
The new services come hot on the heels of the new 726 North Greenwich service. Introduced late last year for those who would benefit from boarding the tube at an earlier stage of their journey, the 726 terminates at the O2 arena where passengers can board at the Jubilee line tube station for access to the London Underground network.
The Kings Ferry Managing Director Ian Fraser said, “We’ve listened and responded to our customers’ feedback which has consistently been calling for greater flexibility of choice about where they can alight in the capital, and for additional services from Maidstone. We aim to provide the best possible commuter service into London and these additions further enhance our offer to customers in Kent, while our Fruity Friday simply sweetens the experience for all.”
