VIA Metropolitan Transit will host two Open House events to share information on the South/West Corridor Transit Improvements Project to expand Primo service and facilities on two of the highest-use corridors — Zarzamora Street and Military Drive.
The route planned for the Military Drive Primo runs from Interstate 37 on the east to the Kel-Lac Transit Center on the west. The plans are part of VIA’s SmartMove initiative, a community-driven planning process to help direct VIA’s future capital investments. Other SmartMove projects include the recently completed Centro Plaza Transit Center, ongoing bus shelter enhancements and installations, and design work on the Brooks Transit Center, Rolling Oaks Park & Ride, and Stone Oak Park & Ride.
