Valley Metro Rail Board Elects New Officers

The Valley Metro Rail Board of Directors has elected new officers for the Fiscal Year 2015-16 term.  Elected to serve on July 1:

• Chair – Phoenix Councilmember Thelda Williams
• Vice Chair – Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell

“Investing in public transportation is an investment in our future,” Williams said. “As chair, I would like to continue our momentum of delivering rail transit projects expeditiously and with solid budget controls. The transit rider and citizen can rely on a safe, reliable and well-built transit system. In the coming year, we will experience significant advancements to our total transit network.”
