Criminal Charges Issued Against Former STM Employee

June 1, 2015

Following the criminal charges of the permanent Anti-Corruption Unit (UPAC) against one of its former employees, the Montreal Transit Corp. wishes to take stock.

After learning of irregularities committed by one of its employees, the STM conducted an internal investigation that led to the suspension and dismissal of the offending employee in May 2014. Following the conclusions of the internal investigation, the Company has seized the Unité permanente anticorruption (UPAC), who took over the case.

The STM has several control mechanisms   to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Due to the prosecution of the case, the STM can not comment further.
