NAFA, along with program partner CALSTART, announced the launch of its Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program April 14 at its global Institute and Expo Event in Orlando.
“As a collective fleet industry, we have a unique opportunity to positively impact our environment, and make a difference to the bottom line as well,” said NAFA CEO Phil Russo. “The Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program gives fleet managers the tools to reduce their overall fuel consumption.”
NAFA’s Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program brings clarity, definition, and recognition to what sustainability means for fleets. The program is now the worldwide standard for recognizing concrete improvements in air quality through reducing emissions, increasing fuel efficiency, and reducing fuel use.
The program includes tools to measure emissions reduction, fuel consumption, and measuring increases in fuel efficiency. NAFA’s Sustainable Fleet Accreditation directly complements the DOE National Fleet Partnership program, and other federal efforts, by recognizing fleets for real results achieved in their sustainability efforts.
