CA: Parsons' Hynes Named as One of the Top 20 Under 40 by ENR New York

Parsons announce that Elizabeth (Federico) Hynes, a principal planner with experience in transit and highway planning studies throughout the United States, has been named as a winner of the Engineering News-Record New York (ENR New York) Top 20 Under 40 competition.

Parsons announced that Elizabeth (Federico) Hynes, a principal planner with experience in transit and highway planning studies throughout the United States, has been named as a winner of the Engineering News-Record New York (ENR New York)  Top 20 Under 40 competition.

Hynes is an expert in environmental impact studies, environmental assessments, alternatives analyses, and National Environmental Policy Act processes. She is a LEED AP with a specialty in LEED building design and construction, and she was part of the first class of certified planners to achieve the American Institute of Certified Planners’ recently implemented Certified Transportation Planner credential, which is awarded to certified planners with superior expertise in advanced transportation planning.

Hynes currently serves as the deputy environmental lead and public involvement manager for Parsons’ work on the Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) Program Grand Crossing Rail Project, an environmental impact study evaluating potential alternatives for a direct track connection between the CN Chicago Line and Norfolk Southern Chicago Line. The CREATE Program was developed to restructure, modernize, and expand freight and passenger rail facilities and highway grade separations in the Chicago metropolitan area. She is also the newly elected treasurer of the Women’s Transportation Seminar Greater New York chapter.

ENR New York’s Top 20 Under 40 winners represent a range of expertise and were chosen based on their professional achievement, community service, and contribution to overall industry improvement.
