Shawn Donaghy, a Pierce Township resident, was promoted to Metro’s director of transit operations on May 20.
In this role, Donaghy manages the delivery of fixed-route services to the community to ensure operational excellence. He oversees all transit operations' functions, including all operators, service delivery and quality, supervision, dispatching and support operations. Metro’s transit operations includes more than 500 employees and a budget of approximately $25 million.
Donaghy has more than 16 years of experience in transportation. He has been with Metro since September 2010, and was most recently assistant director of transit operations.
Donaghy previously worked as senior operations manager at CEVA Logistics and area supervisor at DHL Worldwide. He received his bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Northern Kentucky University.
