NV: RTC, Coca-Cola, Mariana’s Supermarkets and Clark County School District Award High School Seniors with iPads
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), Coca-Cola, Mariana’s Supermarkets, and the Clark County School District recognized and awarded 20 high school seniors throughout the valley with iPads for winning its annual essay contest.
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), Coca-Cola, Mariana’s Supermarkets, and the Clark County School District recognized and awarded 20 high school seniors throughout the valley with iPads for winning its annual essay contest.
All four organizations partnered to sponsor an iPad scholarship program that was open to all Clark County high school seniors graduating in 2013. Students were asked to write a 500-word essay discussing how they personally reduced their carbon footprint by using transit services offered by the RTC.
“This program helps to raise awareness about sustainable transportation, and we are grateful to Coca-Cola and Mariana’s for their generosity in presenting each winner with a new iPad, which each student will find useful when preparing for graduation and the next phase of their life,” said RTC General Manager Tina Quigley.
